We started out the day by going to the Beijing International Christian Fellowship church again. Tong Tong, Mom, and Claire all stayed at the hotel because Tong Tong still isn't feeling well. The church service was amazing, again. I figured out why I like the church so much here. There's an extreme sense of gratitude and fellowship among the congregation, something there isn't as much of at home... Here, people don't take this opportunity to worship for granted. It's not like home, where there's a church on every other street corner. Here, being at a church is not another badge of mediocrity, but, rather, an escape from it.
Other than that, we didn't do much today. Tong Tong started opening up to us even more, as evidenced by the above photo. At the same time, however, he is very conflicted; unsure of whether he can trust us. He'll reach for a hug one second, only to push away the next, then cry for a hug again.
We're unsure of how our internet setup will be in Guangzhou, so don't be suprised if we aren't posting right away.
Love, Ali

'Sup My peeps in da otha side of the bacon skillet (aka, the world)? I think it's amazing how the churches are there. I would really love to spend a day or so in one of those just thinking and praying. It must have been a nice change from some of the churches over here, huh?
I feel so bad for James and what he has to go through.I cannot wait to meet him. Hope things are going well.
See you soon!
